Swapnil was a portfolio manager for India strategy at Engineers Gate (a US-headquartered Global Quant Hedge Fund) during October 2015 and May 2019.
He later acquired the India business of Engineers Gate through a management buy-out and formed ASQI Advisors to create an asset management business focused on absolute returns in Asian markets.
He is a graduate from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (2002) and post-graduate from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (2004).
Swapnil has an experience of over 15 years, spread across quantitative strategies, alternate assets, fund-raising and business building.
In his earlier work during 2010-15, he set up and headed the proprietary quant trading group at a large Indian brokerage. He also set up the group’s structured products desk and alternate asset management business, managing AUM of ~Rs. 750 Cr (~$100mm).
In 2006, he co-founded PARK Financial Advisors, an investment advisory boutique, which was acquired by the large Indian brokerage in 2009.
Earlier, Swapnil worked with The Boston Consulting Group advising clients across Engineering, Technology and Banking sectors.
Swapnil has been recognized as one of ‘40 under 40’ professionals in Alternate Investment space in India.
He has also authored a book, titled ‘Anatomy of Froth – Demystifying the Global Financial Crisis’ (2010) besides several papers and articles in the media.

Sonia heads human resources and administration for ASQI.
Sonia worked at Engineers Gate prior to joining ASQI.
Earlier, Sonia worked at several financial services firms in India in administration and resource management.

Kousthub is a graduate from National Institute of Technology, Calicut Prior to joining ASQI, Kousthub worked for Goldman Sachs as an Analyst in Investing & Lending technology.
At Goldman Sachs, he built various systems such as an automated trade document signing system, automatic pricing and settlements, reconciliation system for loans, and an automated trade upload system.
Kousthub is an expert in workflow automation, software process optimization and data mining.

Palak is a Graduate from Ket’s V.G. Vaze College and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
Palak has earlier worked with A.K. Wealth Management Private Limited as Vice President – Products for Fixed Income Portfolio Management. She was involved in designing the strategy for debt capital markets.
Earlier, she worked with Scient Capital Private Limited as Vice President – Products focussing on PMS Portfolio Management and credit analysis.

Shivaputra is a Graduate in Advanced Financial Accounting & Management from Bangalore University & MBA in Finance & Marketing from Alliance Business School, Bangalore.
Earlier Shivaputra has worked with ICICI Securities Ltd, Principal Mutual Fund, Sundaram Mutual Fund, Karvy Capital & Scient Capital.
Shivaputra has over 16 years’ experience in Financial Services & Capital Markets..

Shitij is a graduate from IIT Kanpur, majoring in Economics and also a CFA charterholder.
Prior to joining ASQI, Shitij worked at EXL Services as a Consultant to analyze and present big data to the clients.
Shitij plays a pivotal role at ASQI, bridging the gap between the tech and business teams.

Pranav is a graduate from Vellore Institute of Technology.
Earlier Pranav worked as a Blockchain Engineer with Trames for Designing & Developing & Leading DLT solutions.
Pranav also has multiple projects to his credit like International Remittance which involves platform transact International Remittances in a tamperproof way & Letter of Credit where problems like reconciliation, transparency are solved in a decentralized way.
Pranav is certified in Blockchain Architecture, Use case and Applications of core blockchain concepts and top frameworks.

Vaibhav is a Graduate in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from BITS – Pilani.
Prior to joining ASQI, Vaibhav worked with Nucleus Software as Software Engineer and has designed a system for approval & rejection of loans without pre‑existing data.
Vaibhav has worked on various projects for Google like configuring the smart speaker Google Home to be integrated with the assistant’s API and provide speech to text capability to the project.

Pradeep is a graduate from East West College of Management.
Prior to joining ASQI, Pradeep was working for Augplat Technologies as a Developer for deploying & testing products for clients.
Pradeep is an expert in developing various social media product applications from the whiteboard to production.
